Non-emergency and general business calls are received by Huntington Woods employees during these hours, along with the availability of dog licenses, bike licenses, and garage sale permits. All 9-1-1 emergency calls are received by Berkley Communications on a 24-hour basis.
Huntington Woods Public Safety Officers respond to all requests, with no change in emergency response service and is a full-service public safety agency, providing 24-hour police and fire protection to the citizens of Huntington Woods. Although
dispatch services were transferred to Berkley in September 1995, the Huntington Woods Public Safety Department remains open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the year.
Police reports are not taken via the web site or phone. The Huntington Woods Public Safety Department only takes reports by sending officers to your home or business or in person at our department.
Officer complaints can be reported over the phone, in writing or in person. The complainant can remain anonymous. *A copy of the Departments Professional Standards Summary Report involving Complaints Against Officers for the year 2022 (issued in 2023) is available upon request at the Public Safety Department during normal business hours.
