Planning Commission

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is required by law to adopt and implement a master plan for the future development of the City. In addition, the Planning Commission recommends zoning amendments, reviews site plans, and evaluates changes that affect the character and development of the City (street widening, utility allocation, commercial development, signs, parking areas, and open spaces), as well as regional activities that have an impact on the City.

As part of the 2019 budget adoption resolution, the City Commission approved the Six-Year Capital Improvement Plan (2019-2024). The CIP is required by the Planning Enabling Act and reflects the goals and objectives of the Master Plan.
